The following comment was left on my Youtube channel in response to a short video I took of Kayford Mountain.
you know where you can go, I work there and thats how i feed my famley. Ya ban coal mining let the bastards freeze in the dark,when you flip on a light switch or turn your a/c on it comes from COAL! ban mining and west virgina will become a sad place to live, a ghost town! IDIOT.
As I said in a recent comment to this blog, I would love to just once here a legitimate argument in favor of mountaintop removal. This particular comment actually makes no sense whatsoever. When presenting an argument against the practice, without fail this is the type of response received from proponents of MTR.
This commenter is talking about feeding his famley all the while going to work on a jobsite that is trying its level best to take everything from multiple families. I don’t have any sympathy for him and I couldn’t care less about his job.
Southern West Virginia is already becoming a sad place to live and it is being caused by mountaintop removal coal mining. For every one person that benefits from the destructive practice there are at least twenty that have to deal with the negative impacts. (Twenty is a very conservative number, I’m quite sure the ratio is a lot higher.)
The point is, it’s simply not worth it.
You couldn’t be more right, Denny! This bozo can’t see past his next paycheck and cares not for anyone other than himself. This guy shouldn’t be allowed to call himself a West Virginian. Anyone who helps destroy WV not a friend of mine!

Anyone that tries to justify MTR by saying they are just trying to “feed my family” is making excuses. There are plenty of other ways to make energy and money. Figure one out!
There are many ways people feed their family. Let’s see, there are prositutes who work the streets to feed their family. There are drug dealers, who sell drugs to feed their family. People do whatever they can to feed their family, but that don’t make prositution, or dealing drugs right. Mountaintop removal falls within the same category. Just because thats the way some people choose to support their family, it dosen’t make it right. They themselves know what MTR does to other famlies and their communities.
Disgusting. You beat up on this poor guy because he misspells the word family, yet you use the wrong word (mute instead of moot) when discussing your thoughts on global warming. Typical leftist arrogance and hypocrisy. BTW, if you’re not an invitee of the property owner, you are trespassing.

BTW, I would suggest you get yourself a dictionary look up the word mute and then read my thoughts again. I think you will find I used exactly the word I intended. I love how you people bend over backwards to take the focus off the topic of mountaintop removal.

And Trespassing? You wanna talk about trespassing? You wanna know what true trespassing is? You wanna know who are the real trespassers here?
